Dividing Lines: The Borderline, 2018, three torn tarmac pieces, resin, enamel, in a case, 38 x 47 x 23.6 in (94x124x64 cm)

Dividing Lines: The Borderline consists of three torn pieces of tarmac collected from the border in the European Union with painted frontier markings. Dreaming of the world without borders is now challenged by the overflow of nationalistic attitudes. Increased public fear of uncontrolled migration is once again being used for maintaining the boundaries, calling the European Union an illusion without a future.
